UUPG – 미얀마 로힝야 종족, Rohingya in Myanmar (Burma)

 

• Approximately one-half of the 2mil Rohingya people group live in Rakhine State in Western Burma, while another half million live in Bangladesh, and the rest spread in Saudi Arabia, Malaysia, Indonesia, and Thailand. The language they speak is Rohingya.
• The existence of the Rohingya people group in Burma is controversial with some historians saying the group dates back centuries, and the Burmese government saying they are relatively recent Bengali migrants.
• Although Rohingya people group claim to be part of the mostly Buddhist Myanmar, as a Muslim ethnic minority, they have faced a great degree of persecution. Burma's 1982 Citizenship Act denies the Rohingya people group citizenship, forcing them to claim to be Bengali migrants, and excusing the government to deport them. They are limited in their rights to marry, have children, work, obtain healthcare, and go to school.
• Meanwhile, the government of Bangladesh treats the Rohingya people group as simply refugees from Myanmar, accepting no responsibility over this group, with plans to relocate them out of their country.
• In 2012, widespread rioting and clashes between Rakhine Buddhists and Rohingya Muslims, left 200 dead and displaced thousands, who still live in temporary refugee camp.
• Following these riots, Human Rights Watch has reported that the "ethnic cleansing" of Rohingya people group had been attempted, as satellite images had shown destruction of 5 of the 13 townships, or specific locations where Rohingya people group resided, as well as uncovering four mass-grave sites in the areas. Similar riots in smaller scale have continued since.
• This past May, a fire broke out in the refugee camp destroying shelters of about 2,000 Rohingya refugees, and leaving at least 14 injured.
• Last week, during a visit by a United Nations ("UN") human rights official, Burmese government ordered the state-run media not to refer them as "Rohingya" but just "Muslim community in Rakhine" completely denying the existence of such people. The UN considers Rohingya people group one of the most oppressed people on earth.
• Since 2012, an estimated 100,000 Rohingya people have fled Burma by boat, to Malaysia, Indonesia, and Thailand. Apart from the risk of drowning, many of those who flee fall into the hands of human traffickers, and are forced to work on rubber plantations or in the sex trade. Tragically, many die on the journey or in the jungle camps. Mass-graves believed to contain the bodies of hundreds of Rohingya people have been found in Malaysia and Thailand.
• Although there may be some who have accepted Christ, Rohingya people group are considered 100% Muslim. There are currently no known portions of the bible or gospel material available in Rohingya language.

너희가 전에는 백성이 아니더니 이제는 하나님의 백성이요 전에는 긍휼을 얻지 못하였더니 이제는 긍휼을 얻은 자니라 (벧전 2:10)

 

이 말씀을 다시 한번 하나님의 백성이 될 미얀마의 로힝야 종족에게 선포합니다.

미얀마의 로힝야 종족에게 하나님께서 손을 내밀며 말씀하십니다 미얀마의 로힝야 종족이 현재는 백성도 아니고 긍휼을 얻지도 못하나 미얀마의 로힝야 종족이 주님의 거룩한 손을 잡을 때 하나님의 백성이 되고 긍휼을 얻을 것을 살아계신 예수 그리스도의 이름으로 선포합니다.

 

미얀마의 로힝야 종족을 하나님께서 긍휼히 여겨 주시기를 기도합니다.

인간 쓰레기처럼 버려진 미얀마의 로힝야 종족의 신음 소리를 들으사 하나님께서 더 이상 이들을 버려두지 마시고 긍휼을 베풀어주시어, 미얀마의 로힝야 종족을 묶고 있는 이슬람의 영을 예수그리스도 이름으로 끊어지게 하시고, 억압받고 핍박가운데 두려워 떨고 있는 미얀마의 로힝야 종족에게 세상을 승리하신 주님의 영이 임하시기를 기도합니다.

 

이 말씀을 미얀마의 로힝야 종족에게 선포합니다.

저희가 이제는 더 나은 본향을 사모하니 곧 하늘에 있는 것이라 그러므로 하나님이 저희의 하나님이라 일컬음 받으심을 부끄러워 아니하시고 저희를 위하여 한 성을 예비하셨느니라 (히 11:16)

 

이 말씀을 다시 한 번 하늘의 본향을 사모하게 될 미얀마의 로힝야 종족에게 선포하시겠습니다.

예수그리스도를 알게 될 미얀마의 로힝야 종족은 이제 더 나은 본향인 곧 하늘에 있는 것을 사모하게 될 것이라 하십니다. 그러므로 하나님이 미얀마의 로힝야 종족의 하나님이라 일컬음 받으심을 부끄러워하지 아니하실 것이며 미얀마의 로힝야 종족을 위하여 예비하신 성을 베풀어 주실 것을 살아계신 예수 그리스도의 이름으로 선포합니다.

 

미얀마의 로힝야 종족이 하늘나라의 시민이 되게 해주시기를 기도합니다.

미얀마의 로힝야 종족을 향한 하나님의 마음을 성도들에게 부어 주셔서 중보 하게 하시고, 이들을 구제할 단체들과 복음을 전할 자들을 보내 주시며, 하루 속히 로힝야 언어로 성경이 준비될 수 있도록, 이름도 국적도 없이 이 땅에서 미얀마의 로힝야 종족이 살아간다 할지라도 하나님께서 생명 책에서 이들의 이름을 지우지 않으시고 천국 시민으로 받아주시기를 기도합니다.
